Entry Level Grade 8 Referee Course
As you saw on the calendar of upcoming events, there is a training course for USSF Grade 8 Referees coming up in a few weeks in Central Oregon. The class is limited to the first 20 students who pay their fees and get registered for the course. The dates and the times are listed above and will most likely also be posted in the Bend Bulletin in the weeks to come.
Please let those who have a serious interest in Officiating soccer games know about this upcoming course.

Game Reports
Remember that failing to fill out a game report ... could result in you not getting paid for the game that you worked. It only takes a few minutes on the OregonSoccerCentral website to enter the scores and details of the games, so please remember to put in your game reports.

AVAILABILITY AND ASSIGNMENTS
If you are wanting and able to work the remaining CASA (Men's League) games this Summer ... this is what you have to do:
1) Send an email to Claudio Muggia (acmuggia@bendbroadband.com) and tell them your availability and age (if you are a Youth Official).
2) Regularly check the OregonSoccerCentral.com website to check for assignments
Make sure to update your 'Profile' on the OregonSoccerCentral.com website as well
3) There are also some adult recreational games available through Bend Metro Park & Recreation. Please contact Kevin Collier (389-7275 or kevin@bendparksandrec.org) for additional information and assignments.

QUESTION:
This month's training or trivia question has nothing to do with soccer. I'm giving you guys a month off from thinking about soccer. I'm still going to ask you all a question ... because you have to keep your minds sharp!

Who is the only NFL player to have won the Most Valuable Player in the Major League Baseball All Star game?

ANSWER:
Bo Jackson
